With so much going on in the world today, it can be difficult for local businesses to attract and retain new customers. Online sales are expected to rise 18% in 2020 alone which is amazing, but it can also present challenges for some companies. With more consumers turning to online channels every day, sadly, it can be a struggle for some businesses to keep up. As the lead economic development organization in the Southwest Valley, the Chamber has long established relationships within the business sector and through community partnerships. As a result of these connections, the Shop Southwest Valley program was created to connect our community with local businesses, provide our businesses with access to resources to help them grow, promote local events, tourism, and so much more. Under the leadership of John Safin, CEO of the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber sought to create an environment that focused on collaborative problem solving and effective leadership, guiding our business community into the future.
Whether participating in our signature Shop Southwest Valley program, creating new business contacts through one of the many networking events, such as Networking at Noon or Friday Business Connections, or by contributing their time and resources by volunteering with the Chamber, businesses expand their reach and realize greater impact from the Chamber’s programs and projects.
